7EVEN consists of 7 creations, each approximately 7 minutes long, composed by 7 artists, featuring 7 dancers from the Ballet National de Marseille and ICK, in reference to the 7 Necessities, the artistic manifesto of Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten, in collaboration with the Festival de Marseille. An intense creation centered around the body, this innovative project showcases choreographers from the new generation of the international contemporary scene! Coming from diverse cultural and disciplinary backgrounds, Amos Ben-Tal, Ayelen Parolin, Ula Sickle, Nacera Belaza, Faustin Linyekula, Eric Minh Cuong Castaing, and Joeri Dubbe will interpret this manifesto through their own language to express their "necessities." These artistic proposals, gathered in 7EVEN, will complement, provoke, reject, or transcend the 7 Necessities, revealing their intimate essence in a ballet-manifesto!
